How kidney beans are grown

The dark red legumes owe their name to their kidney-like shape. The legume originally comes from Peru. The plants need a humid climate to grow. Kidney beans are therefore mainly cultivated in America and Africa. The consistency of the red legumes is soft and slightly floury with a lightly sweet taste.

From sweet to savoury: kidney beans can be used in infinite ways

Kidney beans are not just delicious with rice, in stews, in bean and corn salad, pureed into a kidney bean dip or as a base for all types of tasty bowls. You can also create sweet desserts and snacks with beans. How about a juicy chocolate cake or a tasty chocolate cookie dough? Sweetened with soft dates or other sweeteners such as coconut blossom syrup, xylitol or organic maple syrup, any baked chocolate goods will taste more than delicious! Just try it!

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Delicious beans, great packaging.

I am a huge kidney bean fan and have really tried many brands. The Koro beans have convinced me completely. They are not only super tasty, but also class packed. The glass size is ideal, perfect for a snack in between. I will certainly order more often ;)

Really pleasant to have a supply of the beans ready to hand at home. Also falls so the schlepperei from the supermarket home.
Taste so, as you imagine the beans.

High praise: The beans do not 'swim' in the brine, but are compressed in the glass. In the cans you often have the impression that there would be more liquid contained than the actual edible.
