Everything at a glance Dried Turkish figs 1 kg

More appearance than reality? The fig is a so-called "false fruit"! This means that it does not form from a flower, but from inflorescence (which is turned inwards). The actual fruits are the tiny seeds in the flesh. What is absolutely not just appearance: its heavenly taste! The fig does not only look juicy, delicious and beautiful, but also convinces through and through with a honey-sweet aroma. By the way, this flavour comes out even better in the dried version. That's why we have prepared a 1 kg pack of this sweet sin for you. Believe us, you will love these little fruits! Buy 1 kg of Turkish figs now!

True art: the fig leaf

KoRo history lesson: The fig is the first plant mentioned by name in the Bible. Surely you have seen paintings or statues from earlier times in which the ladies and gentlemen are covered with nothing more than a fig leaf. The leaf of the fig tree was used in visual art to cover the genitals of naked persons. By covering one's own nakedness, it served to overcome feelings of shame and was even added afterwards to paintings or during the restoration of antique statues. Crazy, isn't it?

KoRo's dried figs are a hit

Luckily, our bulk pack contains several figs, because they disappear faster than you can say "fig". The noble fig originally comes from the Arab region, but is now cultivated throughout the Mediterranean. When ripe, the fig has a stunning colour: blue-purple and beautifully red and yellow in the middle. This typical colour changes to brown when dried, but this does not diminish its honey-like taste. The fruit is in season from late summer to late autumn; fortunately, in our shop it is available all year round. Drying preserves the delicious fruity flavour. During drying, the fruit sugar and juice crystallise, which gives the dried fig its delicious sweetness. This not only goes well with desserts, but also harmonises excellently with savoury food.

Fig chutney, fig liqueur, bacon wrapped figs

Figs are a beloved ingredient in many different dishes due to their great looks and sweet flavour. At KoRo, you can find them in many different shapes, sizes and combinations: we have freeze-dried figs, figs covered in chocolate or fig and walnut bars. You can also find wild figs, snack figs and fig bread in our selection. We love our Turkish figs in muesli, porridge, cake, dip, salads and of course pure, as a tasty snack. • Price Graph Icon

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Super quality

We got figs and cranberries from our son for Christmas. He told us about a startup - company from has surprised the special quality of the fruit. Great taste, just super quality. Then I had ordered pecans and large walnuts . Also super quality, this is third order at KoRo. The figs are very tasty and very juicy.

A critical customer says

Unfortunately disappointed

I have already bought at least 5 packs of figs from Koro and was very excited each time. So soft figs with so much flavor I have rarely had, but my last order was really a pure disappointment. The taste went already very much in the sour direction and I am very unsure whether one should really still eat them, because they are unfortunately not edible. I would buy them again, however, if I am assured that something like this does not happen again, because I'm actually used to the highest quality of Koro
