Peanut mousse – or, more precisely, peanut butter – has been celebrated by our American friends as a part of the famous peanut butter and jelly duo for a long time. And here, too, peanuts are very popular with young and old.
Contrary to peanut butter, peanut mousse does not contain any added salt and no added sugar - it is made solely from peanuts kernels. The peanut kernels come from controlled organic cultivation and are processed according to appropriate conditions.
Peanut mousse is a great bread spread and can also be used as something to dip your fruit in. It is so creamy and tasty that it is also excellent for adding into sauces and dips, as well as as an extra ingredient in the muesli or smoothies, as well as for baking.

Why is the price fluctuating?

Peanuts hide underground
These tiny fruit grows where no light can reach it. The peanut plant has developed a unique root system with which it can find sufficient nutrients even in the poorest of soils.
Cultivated in warm regions
The peanut plant grows particularly well in warm temperatures. The main growing areas are therefore West Africa, China, India, but also North and South America.
The peanut plants grows up and downwards
The peanut plant does not simply grow upwards like a tree, but in a zigzag pattern: as soon as the flower turns yellow above the ground, the flower stalks become longer, curve downwards, and grow back into the ground. This is where the peanuts are going to be created from the seeds of the flower.
Harvest takes place between April and June
The plant will wilt about four months after sowing. Sounds bad at first, but it is a good sign: now the peanuts can be harvested. To do this, the whole plant including its roots is lifted out of the earth, and up to 30 peanuts can be attached to it!
Processed in the Netherlands
After the harvest, the peanuts are dried and sorted, then sent to the Netherlands where they are roasted fat-free and blended into a cream in huge machines. That is it. No oils, colourings, flavourings, preservatives, and no sugars.

I am really very satisfied, after I had the Crunchy, I wanted to try the Smooth times. I personally find the Crunchy a little better, but I am really very satisfied and find it a nice alternative to peanut butter, only that in this mush is no additional sugar in it but it is 100% peanuts.

Top quality. Tastes great on bread but also as a sauce (eg satay sauce). Best peanut butter and still in the large package!

The peanut butter tastes exactly like the one I had always bought before. Very, very tasty. There is only one major (very important) difference: the peanut butter from Koro is cheaper. I am already a BIG FAN of this site!

Top quality at a reasonable price!
Very tasty and good spreadability. Needs to be stirred vigorously once, then it's perfect! I eat a lot of peanut nut, about 1kg a month. It is important to me that the packaging is not made of plastic.

Too bad, this cream was off the market a few weeks ago. So I ordered another brand (which is also unsalted and unsweetened, but much too much roasted), but no comparison to the Mus of Koro. I will only buy these from Koro.
ps. I always mix in a little coconut oil, about 1 part coconut oil to 5 parts peanut butter. Then nothing sticks together while eating ;) - but has nothing to do with the quality, it is always the same with peanut butter. Maybe you could mix it with some coconut oil during production.

However, I was annoyed that each jar was delivered individually wrapped in bubble wrap. Here there must be a solution that produces less plastic waste during transport! Especially if you have set as a concept to avoid waste by large packaging.
