Everything at a glance Organic black tahini 500 g
Black sesame is one of the oldest known oil plants in the world. Native to the subtropical regions, it was already cultivated more than 4000 years ago in India. Sesame is an annual, herbaceous plant which can grow up to 180 cm high. Characteristic of this plant are its leaves, which vary in shape and size. The lower leaves are ovate and pinnate, while the upper ones are broad, slender and lanceolate, and the flowers of the black sesame plant are a real eye-catcher. Four months after sowing, the leaves begin to turn yellow, signalling the start of the small sesame seeds harvest, which grow in capsule-shaped flowers.
Black sesame enriches every dish with its aromatic, spicy, slightly sour taste, and its intensive black colour. Since black sesame seeds in a bag were not enough for us, we made tahin out of it! Its beautiful black colour, and velvety texture, make it the ideal ally for preparing sweets, baked goods, and savoury dishes alike. Enjoy our organic black tahin any moment of the day.
Our organic black tahin is a real rarity on the market and gives your dishes a special touch to both appearance and taste.

What is the KoRo price chart?
In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles. -
Why is the price fluctuating?
Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers. -
Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?
Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Something different from the other muse
Very tasty & well suited for hearty dishes
Super tahini for "beginners", since it is not
Super tahini for "beginners", because it is not as intense and bitter as normal tahini. I use it as a spread. The color is sensational. Super creamy and delicious.

Black is beautiful
Creamy and aromatic

I personally had more of a spicier taste
Personally, I had rather expected a spicier taste, since black sesame tastes more intense than the light. Does not taste significantly different than light sesame puree. Nevertheless, delicious.
It's good. It was better in the spring...
In the spring there was the dark tahini already times and there it has me taste a little better. What happened in the break between spring and now, I do not know...Then I would have given 5 stars, now it is enough for max.4Sterne.
