Whats the difference between coconut oil and mousse?
The main difference is the manufacturing. While the mousse is made by drying, rasping and grinding the while flesh of the coconut, the oil is made by crushing the white flesh into little pieces and then pressing the oil out of the chunks in a very slow and careful process. So basically the oil is the filtered part of the fatty coconut flesh, while the mousse is the pure and untouched part.
Where to store my coconut oil best?
The best way to store your special KoRo coconut oil is in your storage room in the kitchen. Room temperature is perfect for the oil, because in the fridge the consistency of the oil might change and it’s getting hard.
Can you use coconut oil to fry my food?
Yes, please do. Coconut oil is an allrounder and you can easily use it for everything that you would use any other oil for as well.
Can I make my own tooth paste with coconut oil?
Yes. Thanks to its smooth taste coconut is very well suited for making your own tooth paste. Moreover coconut oil is said to have antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antiparasitic effects.
At which temperature coconut becomes liquid?
Coconut oil becomes liquid at 26°C. As at our latitudes the average temperature is usually colder you can buy coconut oil in jars with screw cap. In warmer countries like for example Thailand, it stays continuously liquid and is thus often sold in bottles.
Where does this organic coconut oil come from?
Our organic coconut oil comes from sunny Philippines where coconuts are harvested by hand. Before pressing the organic coconut oil out of the coconuts, the nuts are individually selected in order to ensure the best quality.
How many calories does one spoon of coconut oil have?
One spoon of coconut oil (approx. 13,6 g) contains around 121 kcal.
Is the coconut of organic quality?
Yes, the coconuts from which our coconut oil derives are 100% from controlled organic farming.
Is the coconut oil vegan?
Our coconut oil is made of 100% coconuts and is therefore completely vegan. You can perfectly use it to replace butter in your cooking and baking creations.
Is coconut oil alkaline food?
Yes, coconut oil is alkaline.
How to make natural deodorant with coconut oil?
To make coconut oil deodorant yourself just mix 3 teaspoons of coconut oil, 2 teaspoons of natron and 2 teaspoons of potato flour. Stir the ingredients with a spoon - and your natural deodorant with only three ingredients is ready!
Can you use coconut oil as lube?
Some people swear by coconut oil for intimate care or as lube. There are no objections to that as long as thereby you don’t use condoms as the oil can make them porous and rip.
Is coconut oil low in cholesterol?
Coconut oil is completely free of cholesterol and therefore perfect for a diet which is low in cholesterol.
How is coconut oil made?
Our organic coconut oil is cold pressed and differs from industrially manufactured refined coconut oil in its quality. We manufacture exclusively using nuts from controlled organic farming. One important aspect of cold pressing is the fast processing of the freshly picked coconuts in order to avoid contamination and deterioration of the precious flesh of the fruits and to ensure a pleasant taste. Thus the nuts are - without long storage - opened, peeled, cut into pieces and pressed directly by hand. The organic coconut oil gained in this process is neither refined or bleached, nor desodorised. We also consciously avoid any chemical additives or preservatives – the organic coconut oil is only filtered and filled on-the-spot in sterile glass jars, that crack when you open it at your home for the first time.
