Everything at a glance Pea protein strips

Looking for an alternative to meat? Tired of soy-based products? Try our new pea protein strips made from 100% yellow peas.

In order to create a firm but still soft texture, pea protein concentrate gets textured. That might sound like a wordplay, but it isn't. It is instead a very simple process: pea protein concentrate is made by grating and pressing yellow peas so that the fat content remains very low. Afterwards the fine powder is pressed into a strip-shaped mold.

You can prepare the pea protein strips however you like, either as meat substitute in your Bolognese and casserole or as yummy topping onto your salad.

Our tip: cook the strips in vegetable broth first and then roast them briefly in a pan so as to obtain a crunchy crust.

  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.

Sensational! Or as I say since using the pea shreds "schnetzelionell"!
I was a little skeptical at first because the individual shreds are very large and also a little intimidated by this monstrous package size.
But my first meat-free tikka massala with the pea shreds was just awesome.
Neither chewy and even a slight flavor of its own from the peas, but it's really just very subtle.
I can recommend the pea protein shreds to anyone who has Bock on Geschnetzeltes, curry or the like, but no desire for meat. A purchase recommendation that truly comes from the heart and at the price only anyway!

Delicious product - Unfortunately with delivery shortcomings

I wanted to try a meat alternative. And have decided for the peas protein shreds.

The taste convinces me in any case. Unfortunately, the two ordered packages arrived very battered with me. Means that the content is already partly crushed by the weight of the other goods in the box and thus still crumbs thicker. Perhaps the employees at Koro in the future can pay attention to the weight distribution or use a better padding.

I too received my order today and had the same problem. It has a lot of crumbled material

The problem with the crumbs I also know only too well! In each package are always very many crumbs and already almost flour in the bottom.

So far, I've made a big deal about meat alternatives.

Until now I have given meat alternatives a wide berth. But this product is simply ingenious.

Surprisingly good!

Great meat alternative! We soak the shreds for 10 minutes in hot broth and fry them briefly after draining. The consistency is similar to very tender chicken. Tastes great!
