Everything at a glance Flower pollen 500 g

Achooo! Does your nose also itch as soon as Spring is mentioned? Springtime — one person's sorrow, another one's joy! After the long and cold Winter months, mother nature shakes off her snowy coat and awakens in beautiful fashion. The first blossoms start coming out, resulting in spectacular colours. Pollen starts flying around. Busy bees all over get to work and fly from blossom to blossom. We have captured some of that essence, and you can now buy a whole 500 g of flower pollen from us!

Flower pollen — what is that?

What is flower pollen even? You have certainly heard of the birds and the bees before. But if you are expecting a child-appropriate story about love making, we have to disappoint you, you little rascal. Flower pollen consists of the male plant's seeds. They are tiny and are located inside the blossom. What we see as pollen with our own eyes are actually thousands of grains bundled together. Hard working bees, wind and other insects bring pollen from flower to flower to pollinate the female plants.

The versatility of flower pollen

Our Spanish flower pollen's taste is between sweet and tart. You can eat it pure, but flower pollen is perfect for refining and decorating countless dishes: no matter whether porridge, muesli, yogurt, smoothie, with honey or in your tea — the unique little balls are always an optical an flavourful highlight. With a remarkable protein content of 19 g/100 g, our pollen is a real source of protein. No wonder that bees can work as much as they do! Go crazy with our pollen, there are no limits to your creativity! A small piece of advice: if you are into unusual, creative toppings for your muesli or for baking, you should also have a look at our poppy seeds in the convenient 1 kg value pack.

Buy flower pollen from Spain

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Only recommended

So the PLV and the quality are really top! Pure pollen are not everyone's thing but with honey or in muesli, porridge or yogurt they taste very good. Only criticism, would be for me the packaging. If this would be replaced by an environmentally friendly, this would be really great.
