What is the KoRo price chart?
In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles. -
Why is the price fluctuating?
Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers. -
Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?
Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

What are the differences between the poppy varieties: blue poppy, gray poppy and corn poppy?
First of all, the colour of the seeds is distinctive. As the names imply, blue poppy has a blue-black colour, whereas gray poppy is more of a grey-white. Both varieties are used for baking and cooking. Corn poppy is the well-known ornamental plant, more precisely the eye-catching red blossoms at the roadside in summer. This variety should be consumed with caution though as it contains slightly toxic substances such as alkaloids.
How to use the poppy seeds?
Poppy seeds can be consumed raw, roasted or ground. Cold-pressed you can even produce poppy seed oil out of it.
Why is blue poppy also called opium poppy?
In the past, a soporific effect of poppy seeds has been manifested. Even nowadays, because of this effect poppy seeds are used for drug manufacture. However, the poppy seeds we know and consume as food do not contain any of these substances since those only occur when at harvest the seeds are not completely ripe yet.
Is blue poppy gluten-free?
Our blue poppy is gluten-free by nature.

Please offer some poppy seed from it
Dear KoRos, you have such great Nutmush specialties. Why don't you make a poppy seed sauce? I love the hasha paste from the Turkish supermarkets made from 100% blue poppy seeds. You can do it too! I would also be available as a tester ;-)
