Homemade cashew butter

Homemade cashew butter

Would you like to experiment a little in your kitchen and get your blender going? Then simply make your own nut butter! It takes relatively little effort and the puree tastes incredibly delicious. It definitely comes close to a jar from the store and you know exactly what's in your nut butter. Here we present a recipe for creamy cashew butter. Instead of cashews, you can also use hazelnuts, walnuts, pistachios, almonds or a mixture of several nuts. It also tastes really special with the addition of a little cinnamon or vanilla.

Ingredients for the cashew butter:

Preparation:

  • First roast the cashew nuts in the oven at 130°C fan oven for about 20 minutes.
  • Then leave the nuts to cool well.
  • Next, place the nuts in a high-performance blender and blend thoroughly. It is important not to blend for too long: Only blend for 30 seconds at a time so that the appliance doesn't get too hot.
  • After each blending process, push the solid mass back down onto the chopping blades.
  • Repeat this procedure several times. Gradually, a smooth, creamy puree will form.
  • Transfer the finished cashew puree to a clean jar.
  • We recommend storing it in a dark and cool place. It will keep there for about 4 weeks.
