Vegan wax cloth for your food

Our vegan wax cloth is your reusable bread bag — but the space saving lunchbox alternative can be used in a lot more ways, for example to transport your food (such as our apple pieces with cinnamon and sugar) or to keep opened fruit and vegetables fresh. Your hand's warmth makes the wax cloth flexible, so that you can wrap it around your favourite foods. The vegan cloth can be used up to 500 times. We deliver it as one large sheet, which you can then cut up according to what you need to cover, wrap or transport. Please note that the wax cloth is not suited for storing fish, meat or any other high fat foods.

Clean affair: buy our vegan wax cloth

Our vegan beeswax cloth alternative is made from 100 % organic cotton, coated with candellila wax, pine resin and organic coconut oil. Questions & answers: Vegan wax cloth
You can use the oilcloth without jojoba oil as a substitute for classic plastic wrap or aluminum foil. The application of the oilcloth is basically the same: Fold the oilcloth, for example, around leftovers, use it to cover bowls, or use it as a bread bag to carry your provisions and keep already cut fruit and vegetables fresh.
Since you can wrap your food in our vegan oilcloth, the food-safe cloth is of course not harmful to children in principle. However, since children like to put everything in their mouths, you should make sure that children do not put the oilcloth in their mouths. Our chic KoRo pattern is not designed specifically for the little foodies, but they will certainly like it anyway.
No, due to the purely vegetable ingredients and organic cotton base, it is not possible to make a transparent oilcloth. But this is not a disadvantage! Instead, our vegan oilcloth has a specially designed KoRo pattern, which is guaranteed to make your colleagues jealous during lunch break!
Our vegan oilcloth is a reusable plastic or aluminum foil replacement. Oilcloth is considered a more sustainable alternative to classic cling film & Co, because you can reuse them up to 500 times and thus reduce waste. In contrast to the already well-known beeswax cloth, our vegan oilcloth roll is made of organic cotton, coated with candelilla wax, pine resin and organic coconut oil. It is therefore purely of plant origin and completely biodegradable and compostable.
Before the first use, you should rinse the cloth with cold water. After that, you can clean it regularly with cold to lukewarm water and, if necessary, use a mild detergent for more stubborn stains. It is important that you do not use too warm water or rub the cloth too much, because then you may remove the wax. Once the cloth is cleaned, you can hang it up to dry, but please do not put it over the heater or in a place that is too warm (30°C or higher). Also, do not crumple or wring the cloth.
Have a few unsightly creases formed on your oilcloth or is the wax coming off in some places? Then you can easily fix this yourself by placing the wax cloth between baking paper and ironing over it on a low setting. This way the wax will be distributed regularly on the cloth again.
Depending on the intended use, you can also cut the oilcloths to different sizes. For long items, such as herbs and vegetables, you can use the dimensions 32 x 23 cm, for smaller breads or snacks we recommend 32 x 45 cm and for the right snack or your sandwich simply cut out 32 x 35 cm!
Yes! We do not use beeswax, but a purely vegetable coating of candelilla wax, pine resin and organic coconut oil. The base of the cloth is 100% organic cotton.
Our vegan oilcloth is Made in Germany! Unlike many competing products, our oilcloth is made in southern Germany.
You can reuse our vegan oilcloth up to 500 times. This duration is of course also dependent on how often you use and clean it.
The storage of your already used oilcloths is of course up to you. It is important that you do not dry the oilcloths on a radiator after cleaning and that you generally do not store them above 30 °C. The best way is to stack the reusable cloths together with our reusable kitchen roll in a dry drawer or box. It is best to stack the reusable cloths together with our reusable kitchen roll in a dry drawer or box, in a not too warm place.
Compared with "normal" disposable film, our reusable oilcloth has only one disadvantage: it cannot be used to store fish, meat and highly fatty foods. Since the cloth cannot be cleaned with hot water, bacteria or salmonella found in fish and meat could multiply on the oilcloth. But since you have chosen our vegan cloth, we assume that this is not an issue for you anyway.
Our vegan oilcloths are available in the practical format of a roll, as you know it from cling film or aluminum foil. On our oilcloth roll are 90 x 35 cm oilcloth, which you can cut yourself depending on what you want to cover. After that you can reuse the cut piece up to 500 times.
As a basis for our oilcloth we use 100% organic cotton. But also the vegetable coconut oil used for the coating comes from organic farming. Only the used candelilla wax and the pine resin are excluded from this and can not convince with their controlled organic origin. That is why we do not praise our oilcloth roll as organic as a whole.

Good alternative! Gladly more of it! We want to get away from plastic!

Great alternative to the plastic. Can you wrap bread well with or cover light dishes, but just for greasy meals I could have used it. Who can read is clearly at an advantage (should not be used for very greasy / meat / fish dishes).

Starrer und unflexibler als erwartet

Leider etwas starrer - und „trockener“ als erwartet - erfüllt seinen zweck ist aber nicht so biegsam und bleibt nciht ganz so toll in Form wie „echte“/Bienen Wachstücher

Our feedback: Hey Ricarda, vielen Dank für dein Feedback. Wir werden dein Anliegen mit unseren Lieferanten, sowie intern abklären lassen. Liebe Grüße, dein KoRo Team :)
