“Sweets for my Sweet, Sukkari for my Honey!” That’s how the lyrics of this 70s song could go, because the Arabic word Sukkari means sugar. Out of hundreds of Date types the Sukkari Rotab Date will be everyones favourite who gives it a try. It has a unique sweetness and creaminess to it, with a legendary consistency. The Date is part of the Palms and therefore need a lot of sunshine and even more heat. The Date Palm Sukkari Rotab feels especially at home in Saudi Arabia, where it can grow up to 30m high and protect it’s valuable fruits with long palm fronds. The fruits are growing bunchy and can be harvest after 5 - 6 month. The regular time for the Dates to be harvest is between October and November. But whats so special about the Sukkari Rotab? The little dark until light brown Date is a favourite because of it’s undeniable sweetness. In combination with it’s soft and smooth consistency you can take your smoothies, mueslis and salads to the next level. Even if you try to reduce your lollie intake at the moment, a Date is always a healthy option to keep that sweet tooth of yours quite.

That's why we developed a price graph, which will always keep you up to date regarding the development of our prices. You can see the price of the product as per 100g and to know the reason behind the amount, simply click on the circle.
How is our price getting lower? Mostly because we just skip unnecessary trading stages. This safes us money which results in your product being simply cheaper.
Why is there a price fluctuation? The harvest of raw products is not linear and is very much depending on external factors, like for example the weather or climate. Are these conditions not ideal and the gathering of the product is low, the price gets higher and we have to pay more. This is why we continuously reject contracts with producers that are longer than one season.
So there you go. This is how our price graph makes it super easy for you to understand the price development of your favourite products.

Why do Sukari Rotab Dates have white spots?

The date is hanging on a panicle. The space in between the panicle and the date often dries out which means that there is less moisture in the date and the fruit sugar starts to crystallise and hardens a bit. This is also why the Sukaris are categorised as half dry.

Why are Sukari Dates are served with tea?

Because of the warmth of the tea, the crystallised fruit sugar is melting and the date has therefore a nice and sweet taste.

What does Rotab mean?

In general the first date harvest is called rotab. Those dates are juicer, are moist and therefore super soft.
