Everything at a glance Sugar-free blueberries
The deep blue of these gorgeous berries is just the start: we know it's hard to believe, but their taste is even better than their looks! Our dried blueberries taste sweet and at the same time are delicately sour, for an unforgettable taste experience. Blueberries are a superfood and are packed with fibre.
Dried blueberries all year round
With the arrival of the summer, supermarkets' shelves are covered with fresh blueberries, which in Europe are harvested between June and September; they have to be eaten in a couple of days, because unfortunately their life is rather short – even if stored in the fridge, blueberries keep just for a few days.
Wipe your tears! We have selected and dried for you some top-quality blueberries, which are just as tasty as fresh ones, and are ready to be consumed at any time. If stored properly, our dried blueberries keep for up to 18 months, so that you will be able to bake blueberry muffin and drink blueberry smoothies all year long.
Dried blueberries bring a sweet-and-sour kick to your morning porridge, or can be mixed with oats, almonds, and coconut flakes for a fantastic homemade müsli mix.
If you want a refreshing and good-looking drink, you can infuse water with our dried blueberries; or you can stir them into a bowl of yoghurt for a quick and healthy snack.
Why are our dried blueberries so special?
These dried blueberries are wonderful specimens, which have been hand-picked and selected with the utmost care when perfectly ripe; isn't it great that a product this high-quality can be delivered to you in an extra-large pack?
And even if you make these amazing dried blueberries disappear in a few hours (we understand only too well!), you should not feel bad about yourself: our blueberries are free of added sugar and additives. Enjoy!

What is the KoRo price chart?
In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles. -
Why is the price fluctuating?
Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers. -
Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?
Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Sugar-free blueberries - a look behind the scenes

Cultivation in the Northern regions of Peru
Peru has the ideal climate for growing blueberries. While, in other countries, these plants first bear fruit approximately after three years, Peruvian blueberry plants can be harvested after just 12 months. The coastal region of La Libertad, in northern Peru, is especially known to be a blueberry paradise.

This is how blueberries grow
These little berries grow on low bushes, which never measure more than 1,5 - 2,5 metres in height. According to botanists, there are more than 500 different types of blueberry in the world.

Beginning of the season
In Peru, every season is blueberry season: from June to April, the berries are harvested, with a peak in fruitfulness in December, January and February.

Carefully handpicked...
If you had held a blueberry between your fingers, you have a good idea of how delicate they are. This is why our blueberries are carefully and lovingly picked and afterwards selected by hand.

... and dried with no sugar.
Ripened under the sun, the berries are so intense in taste, that they do not need any sugar! Our blueberries are gently dried in an oven until they reach the ideal crunchiness. Yum!

Questions about questions Sugar-free blueberries
Do blueberries have seeds?
Domesticated blueberries typically have a lighter flesh and fewer seeds; this is the blueberry variety you find in the supermarket. Our dried blueberries too are domesticated. Wild blueberries have a more sour taste and contain seeds, while their flesh is of a darker blue which will make your tongue blue when you eat them.
How can I use dried blueberries?
You can use our dried blueberries for every recipe where you would use the fresh ones. If you want to make them juicier, we suggest that you soak them in water for a few minutes before using them. Our dried blueberries are perfect in muffins and smoothies, for example. If you are in a rush and need a quick, healthy snack, try adding a few blueberries to a portion of yoghurt!

Super consistency, they are deliciously sweet and perfect for cereal.:)
Tasty but a little too heavily sweetened
I am a big fan of blueberries and use these dried blueberries often and very much in my morning porridge. Am satisfied, but find that they have been sweetened a little too much. Accordingly, they are not typically tart, as you know it from fresh or frozen / freeze-dried blueberries. But they still taste good!
