One of the most delicious food combinations is peanut paired with chocolate. It will make the knees of any sweet tooth weak. The best thing about this recipe is that it is completely free of refined sugar, wheat flour and bad fats. In just a few steps, these bars can be prepared and, depending on your preference, can be made vegan (for this, replace the honey with maple syrup or agave syrup). This recipe is also a hit for sports enthusiasts, thanks to increased protein content.
Ingredients (for about 15 small bars):
For the first layer:
- 2 cups (300 g) rolled oats
- 1 cup (150 g) almond flour
- 1/3 cup (100 g) honey
- 1/2 cup (100 g) peanut butter
For the second layer:
- 1 cup (150 g) soy crispies
- 1 cup (200 g) peanutbutter
- 1/2 cup (100 g) honey
For the third layer:
- 100 g chocolate drops
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 20 g white chocolate
- Goji berries
- Chia seeds
Preparation
First, mix the ingredients for the first layer in a bowl with your hands and press the mixture into a baking pan lined with baking paper. Put it in the fridge for a short time. In the meantime, mix all the ingredients for the second layer in a bowl. Then you distribute this mass on the first layer evenly and put that then again cool. Then melt the chocolate drops with the coconut oil over a low heat and spread it over the second layer. Finally, you can garnish the peanut bars with white chocolate, goji berries and chia seeds.
