Cranberry Macadamia Smoothie

Nuts not only give smoothies a fine, aromatic flavor, but can also give them a particularly creamy consistency. Mild nut varieties, such as macadamia nuts, are particularly suitable for this purpose. In combination with the slightly sour taste of cranberries, as well as selected spices, you get a very special taste experience. Additional sweetness is added to the Cranberry Macadamia Smoothie by dates.

Ingredients (for 1 smoothie):

Toppings:

  • fresh berries and fruits
  • Cranberries
  • puffed quinoa
  • macadamia seeds

Preparation

First you should quarter the cranberries and soak them in milk for about 30 minutes. Then you can put the macadamia seeds in a blender and grind them for 1-2 minutes. Then add bananas, raspberries, dates, soaked cranberries and milk and blend all ingredients for another minute. Now you can add spices and blend again until the smoothie has a creamy consistency. Fill the smoothie into a bowl and garnish with fresh fruit, nuts and puffed quinoa.
