Pineapple belongs to the family of Bromeliaceae and is originally from Brasil. From there it came a long way to Central America and was finally given as a gift to Christoph Kolumbus, who took it to Europe where it rapidly became very popular. Nowadays, the fruit is cultivated all over the world, mostly in the Philippines, Thailand, India, Columbia, China, Nigeria and Costa Rica. As you can easily see from its growing regions, the pineapple loves the sun because it makes its fruity pulp sweeter and juicier.
Our pineapple is cut into very thin slices and prepared without the use of any fat into crispy chips. Its natural sweetness combined with a slight hint of acidity makes it the perfect snack that can't be missing for cozy movie nights.
