Buy organic products from KoRo

Organic products are becoming more and more popular. No-name products are out, organic commodities are in. But the term is controversial. When we print the word organic on our labels, it is guaranteed to be 100 % organic - that's a KoRo promise. For us, an organic label is more than just a trend. And because customers and Mother Nature are equally important to us, quality, naturalness and fairness have top priority in our online shop. As a food company, we feel a special responsibility to support the promotion of an intact ecosystem, because we also leave our ecological footprint on this planet. That's why we are always working to expand our range with certified organic items, so that we can make our contribution to protecting the environment. We deliver a wide variety of organic food and ecologically certified non-food products directly to your doorstep.

Organic – what does it even mean?

What is actually behind the term "organic"? Not all organic is the same. For many, organic is nothing more than green packaging. Yet "organic" describes a product that has been produced organically. All the raw materials contained are natural and far fewer (if any) artificial substances have been added. Our organic products come from organic farming. This means that the cultivation does not harm the soil and the products have been produced without the use of genetic engineering, among other things. In addition, we deliberately avoid unnecessary intermediate stages in the trade chain and purchase a large number of our products directly from the importer, or even directly from the producer, without intermediaries. This creates a fair and trusting relationship with our suppliers and allows us to better understand the production process. By packaging our products in bulk, we also avoid unnecessary transport, excess packaging waste and additional costs for the end consumer. The environment and your wallet are protected in equal measure and our producers are paid fairly - killing three birds with one stone, so to speak. Our tropical organic coconut oil, our delicious sprouted organic muesli and our exotic organic mango strips are just a few examples of our convenient value packs. However, it is not only organic food that has secured a firm place in our online shop. In our non-food category you will also find one or two organically produced treasures. Have you already taken a look at our fancy KoRo T-shirt made of organic cotton? Organic clothing is hip, better for the environment and also looks extremely good. Our goal is to create a product range that makes our environment as happy as you are.

Organic quality in our online shop

Organic products are an integral part of our diverse and sometimes very unusual product range. You have probably already noticed that the well-being of our environment is very important to us. For some years now, we have had it in black on white, because we are the proud owners of an organic certification! Of course, such a certification is linked to regular inspections by the responsible authorities, so that you can be sure that our products are always organic. You can buy many organic products directly from us, including:

...and many, many more!

What organic labels exist?

There are numerous organic labels and organic seals. An organic seal is a test or quality seal and identifies products from organic cultivation. In Germany, the "German Organic Seal" and the "European Organic Seal" are very widespread. Only producers who comply with all the requirements for organic food are allowed to decorate their products with the hexagonal sign with the inscription "Bio". The European Organic Seal was introduced a few years later than the German Organic Seal. You may have already come across the small icon, a set of little white stars that form a banana leaf on a light green background. This seal guarantees you 95% organic quality. In the meantime, the European seal has replaced the German one. You can easily recognise the organic quality of our KoRo products by the organic seal and the number DE-Öko-003. This code does not give you information about the origin of the product, it is the number of an organic inspection body. Some of our organic foods, such as our organic mung beans, contain the note "non-EU agriculture". Don't panic, this does not mean that these foods do not meet the organic standard. Products that come from non-EU agriculture were produced in third countries, but they still have to meet EU criteria. Therefore, they are not inferior to EU organic products in terms of quality.

Is organic better?

Organic is definitely a gentle alternative for the environment.  Organic has many advantages, because organic farming protects the preservation of natural soils, reduces the excessive use of pesticides and uses less energy. Products from organic farming are natural - natural tastes twice as good! Our customers are definitely of the same opinion, as our top sellers include:

Where do the organic products come from?

Many of our organic products are produced here, in Germany, such as our crispy apple crisps, but we also carry international organic treasures, such as our tart and fruity goji berries from China or our refreshing noni juice from Samoa. As you know, transparency and traceability are very important to us. We follow the concept of open communication. When it comes to production, we also want to give our customers a full insight into the individual steps. That is why we have created the "Behind the Scenes" category. You can find the category on the respective product page, directly under the product picture, under "Production". A great example of this is our Japanese sencha green tea from organic farming. The look behind the scenes takes you from the harvest to the finished organic tea in your cup.

Is organic good for children?

Organic is also good for the little ones, as the pesticide load in non-organic products is higher, among other things. But you can also taste the quality of our organic products. Familiarising youngsters with the natural taste of food is a great way to avoid artificial flavour enhancers, which can alter children's taste sensitivity and shape their eating behaviour later on. Nowadays, there are many organic products for children: organic fashion, organic children's furniture and organic toys are just a few examples. We have also added toys to our wide range of products in order to provide sustainable pleasure for our favourite little princesses and princes.

Should I always buy organic?

You have probably already noticed that we do not exclusively offer organic products in our assortment. One example of this is our spelt flakes. They are available as organic thin-rolled spelt flakes and also as non-organic thin-rolled spelt flakes. The reason for this is as follows: we want to give you the choice. Both products (organic and non-organic) do not contain any additives and are of high quality - otherwise they would not be in our range. Whether your budget is tight and you prefer to use this cheaper alternative or invest your money in the organic spelt flakes is entirely up to you.
