If you regularly eat crunchy peanut butter by the spoonful, breathe in peanut butter cups and can't go a TV evening without salted peanuts, this product is just for you: from now on, you can find the peanut's long lost brother in our shop – the wild peanut. Once you've tried this tasty nut, you won't want anything else.

Creamy taste

The wild peanut is not just different from the ordinary peanut in appearance. The taste of the raw wild peanut is reminiscent of freshly picked peas and tastes wonderfully creamy. This is not least due to the fact that the peanut is a close relative of peas and beans. Actually, the peanut is not a nut at all.

Striped eye catcher

Wild peanuts are a real eye-catcher and cut a fine figure as a topping on salads and Asian curries as well as on cheese platters. The peanuts taste so delicious that you can also enjoy them as a snack. But the tabby peanuts can do more than just look good: With 27.7 g protein per 100 g nuts, they are a real source of protein - and 100 % vegan.

What makes our wild peanuts special

If you want to take your snacking experience to a new level, you've come to the right place. We supply you with wild peanuts from organic farming by small-scale farmers in Indonesia. The wild nuts are completely natural and have not been salted or roasted. To provide you with the best quality, our wild peanuts are sorted by hand and never heated: After harvesting, they are simply dried in the sun. A 100% natural snack - and totally delicious.

Upside down: Früher Erdnusssamen, jetzt Erdnüsse mit Schale

Questions & answers: Organic wild peanuts 1kg

Wild peanuts differ from conventional peanut kernels not only by their mottled surface. The wild peanuts taste rather creamy mild and thus remind of freshly picked peas. Therefore, they harmonize perfectly with cheese platters, as a topping in salads and in muesli. But they are also great as a natural snack.
Pssst, secret tip: Since our wild peanuts are not roasted, they are great for growing sprouts. To do this, simply shell the wild peanut and place it in a pot with moist growing soil. Wait and tea until the peanut germinates, always making sure that the soil has sufficient moisture. The little plant likes places flooded with light and warmth. After a few weeks, a peanut plant should become visible above ground. Then, if possible, the plant can move to a larger pot with sandy soil. Harvest time is when the peanut plant is yellow and wilted - usually about four months after sowing. Then simply pull the plant together with the root out of the pot and harvest the peanuts.
Wild peanuts are a super protein source with 27.7 g protein per 100 g - and that purely vegetable! This makes wild peanuts the ideal snack after your home workout.
Botanically speaking, the peanut is not a nut, but a legume. You can hear this in the English name peanut - literally translated pea-nut. Attention, a little nerd lecture: A nut is a nut as soon as a fruit is completely covered by a pericarp. This wall must also have three layers, all of which are intergrown. All fruits whose shell has fewer than three layers or which open on their own are not, strictly speaking, nuts. Thus, the peanut is not the only "false" nut. Coconuts, cashews and pistachios also do not fall under the botanical definition of a nut. But they have one thing in common: they all guarantee the highest Ge-nuss.
Wild peanuts are similar to conventional peanuts in their nutritional values and calories. For every 100 g of wild peanuts, there are 609 kcal. To estimate: A handful of peanuts weighs about 25 g and thus has around 153 kcal.

Surprisingly different

They not only look more exciting than usual peanuts, but actually taste different. I like them better, they taste to me a little rounder, milder (hard to bescchreiben) and are less dry.
