Everything at a glance Organic sprouted buckwheat 1 kg

Letting buckwheat seeds germinate first and then drying and eating them sounds like a terrible crime. We do this to our organic buckwheat seeds because it gives them a distinctive crunchy texture and nutty flavour that together enrich muesli, breads and even salads.

Sprouted organic buckwheat: completely gluten-free

Buckwheat is a pseudo-cereal and naturally gluten-free. No gluten-containing foods are processed nearby either, so our sprouted organic buckwheat can be eaten by coeliacs without any problems. Only lupins and nuts are processed nearby.

How to use the germinated organic buckwheat

You can eat the germinated buckwheat straight from the package. You can also grind it with a high-powered blender and make your own sprouted buckwheat flour. You can use this for baking bread or for creative pancakes.

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Questions about questions Organic sprouted buckwheat 1 kg

Search in our FAQ section::

How do I eat sprouted buckwheat?

You can enjoy our sprouted buckwheat straight out of the box. You don’t need to cook it. Sprouted buckwheat is perfect in your muesli, porridge, as topping for savoury dishes such as salads or as ingredient in your homemade breads.

How the buckwheat is sprouted?

The ripe organic buckwheat seeds are soaked in water for several times. By this they absorb water and grow to a multitude of their original size. The water makes the seeds sprout – a tiny shoot grows from the seeds from, which is the shoot the buckwheat plant would grow from later on. The organic sprouted buckwheat is then gently dried so that its nutrients are preserved as far as possible.

Why the buckwheat is sprouted?

On the one hand, thanks to the sprouting process, the buckwheat's inhibitors (whose function of protection against predators, such as us humans) are suppressed. At the same time, in the tiny germ, substances such as chlorophyll are produced and its protein and fibre levels change. In this process the buckwheat’s nutrients become easier for our body to absorb and digest!

Is the organic sprouted buckwheat gluten-free?

Buckwheat is naturally gluten-free. Our buckwheat is produced where no other foods containing gluten are processed, thus our organic sprouted buckwheat can also be eaten without any concern in case of celiac disease.

Is the organic sprouted buckwheat suitable for a raw food diet?

Yes, the buckwheat is only germinated and then dried, which makes it a product suitable for raw food diet.

Definitely one of my favorite products . Again and again

Definitely one of my favorite products . Always happy to add to muesli, mixed with steamed vegetables, over the salad. Crispy and nutty - simply the best buckwheat.
