We first make buckwheat sprout, and then we dry it and eat it &ndahs; how strange! The reason why we do it is that this procedure enables our body to absorb and digest all the nutrients that buckwheat contains more easily. Moreover, through the sprouting process, the seeds get an unmistakably, crispy texture as well as a nutty flavour, and this great combo will add to your mueslis, homemade bread, and salads that ctunchy extra bite you were looking for.

Better bioavailability due to the sprouting

Our buckwheat is first germinated and then gently dried; during this process the buckwheat is not heated, therefore it is also suitable for a raw food diet. Due to the sprouting process, the buckwheat changes its nutritional composition. The fibre contained in sprouted buckwheat enhances balanced intestinal functions – provided that you also drink enough water and do enough exercise.

Sprouted buckwheat: completely gluten-free

Buckwheat belongs is a pseudograin category and is naturally gluten-free. Moreover, our buckwheat is processed in a factory where no other gluten-containing foods are processed, thus it can also be eaten without any concern by people who suffer from celiac disease. Only lupins and nuts are processed nearby.

How to use spouted buckwheat

You can enjoy our sprouted buckwheat straight out of the box, or grind it with your food processor into sprouted buckwheat flour for baking delicious breads and pancakes.

How do I eat sprouted buckwheat?

You can enjoy our sprouted buckwheat straight out of the box. You don’t need to cook it. Sprouted buckwheat is perfect in your muesli, porridge, as topping for savoury dishes such as salads or as ingredient in your homemade breads.

How the buckwheat is sprouted?

The ripe organic buckwheat seeds are soaked in water for several times. By this they absorb water and grow to a multitude of their original size. The water makes the seeds sprout – a tiny shoot grows from the seeds from, which is the shoot the buckwheat plant would grow from later on. The organic sprouted buckwheat is then gently dried so that its nutrients are preserved as far as possible.

Why the buckwheat is sprouted?

On the one hand, thanks to the sprouting process, the buckwheat's inhibitors (whose function of protection against predators, such as us humans) are suppressed. At the same time, in the tiny germ, substances such as chlorophyll are produced and its protein and fibre levels change. In this process the buckwheat’s nutrients become easier for our body to absorb and digest!

Is the organic sprouted buckwheat gluten-free?

Buckwheat is naturally gluten-free. Our buckwheat is produced where no other foods containing gluten are processed, thus our organic sprouted buckwheat can also be eaten without any concern in case of celiac disease.
