Everything at a glance Organic pinto beans 2 kg

Quail beans are the magicians among the legumes. Their eponymous red-brown speckles dissolve into thin air after cooking, leaving behind a deliciously mild taste and a fine consistency. Buy our quail beans now in the two-kilo value pack and lose yourself to its magic! How to prepare quail beans Before we start: the quail bean and pinto bean describe the same legume – in case any confusion should arise. Canned food is practical, of course. But canned beans also cause a lot of waste and are more expensive in terms of quantity than our 2 kg value pack. Another advantage of our pinto beans is that you can cook them yourself and thus adapt the taste and texture to your preferences – from firm to the bite to very soft, it's up to you! Well, your court also has a decisive say: one may want rock-hard beans for their dip, or crumbling beans for their stew - so the decision will be made based on the dish and individual tastes. 1x1 preparation: soak your beans Ordering quail beans online is a

  • Price Graph Icon

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Questions about questions Organic pinto beans 2 kg

Search in our FAQ section::

Can pinto beans be eaten raw?

Here you get a very clear one from us - no. You really shouldn't eat quail beans or any other leagume raw! You can play with the texture depending on how long you cook them, but the cooking is part of the program: please do cook these quail beans before you eat them!

What is the protein content of these beans?

Our quail beans have 21 grams of protein per 100, and are therefore a good source of plant-based protein. Vegans and vegetarians in particular should heavily rely on legumes in general for meeting their daily protein requirements.

How should I use these beans?

You can actually add the quail beans to almost any dish. Whether salads, bowls, stews, or soups, these versatile beans fit in anywhere! Quail beans are also a great basis for dips and burger patties; simply puree them after cooking, and combine them with your favourite herbs and spices.

Are these beans organic?

Pinto beans or quail beans - however you want to call them, our beans come from certified organic cultivations! Perfectly free of any salt and additives, they are 100 % fair and organic.

Finally a reasonable amount of beans in

Finally a reasonable amount of beans in a package, I cook a large pot of soaked beans overnight on Sundays, use a portion directly and put the rest of the beans in containers in portions, one of them in the fridge which is emptied after a few days and the others in the freezer.

Came with me, by the way, in a paper bag which made me very happy.

I tested them as part of my bean-peanut-tomato sauce, they tasted great and were pleasantly firm to the bite compared to other beans I've used elsewhere.

Recipe: boil 166g dry beans in cooked with a chopped onion and half a bottle of strained tomatoes and a tbsp canola oil and salt and pepper and simmer for 10min, then stir in a tbsp peanut puree and season with tomato paste and lemon juice.
Optional as Pasta-One-Pot: At the beginning add 100-200g noodles depending on hunger, double the amount of water and accordingly more salt.
