Recipes with lentils

Amateur cooks, listen up! Lentils can be used wonderfully in a wide variety of dishes and often serve as an alternative to meat, for example in vegan Bolognese sauce. This lentil variety has a slightly longer cooking time because it is firmer to the bite. Wash the desired amount of lentils under running water and simmer them with two and a half to three times the amount of water for 30 to 40 minutes over medium heat. Small tip: If you leave the mountain lentils to soak overnight after rinsing, the cooking time will be slightly reduced. Do you like oriental cuisine? Then try an Arabic salad. Do you like fresh and spicy? Then lentil curry is just the thing for you. When it gets colder outside and you're in the mood for comfort food, these lentils also taste great in a lentil soup or in a hearty stew!

Questions & answers: Organic lentils 2 kg
Mountain lentils can also score with their nutritional values. On 100 g, mountain lentils contain 314 kcal and 23.5 g protein. In addition, they have only 1.5 g fat per 100 g.
Mountain lentils also belong to the lentil family, just like red lentils, yellow lentils and plate lentils. However, they differ from other varieties by their slightly nutty flavor, which makes them more aromatic. In addition, the mountain lentils remain wonderfully firm to the bite even after prolonged cooking.
Yes, the organic mountain lentils from KoRo come from controlled organic cultivation.
Mountain lentils, just like other lentil varieties, are basically gluten-free. However, they may contain traces of gluten due to cultivation and harvesting. For this reason, we do not call our organic mountain lentils gluten-free and advise you not to consume them if you suffer from gluten intolerance or celiac disease.
Weight loss goals are achieved primarily through a daily calorie deficit. Because our lentils are a source of protein, they are well suited for protein-rich dishes and snacks in addition to sports.
Our organic mountain lentils can be kept for at least 18 months in the original sealed packaging. Make sure they are stored in a cool, dark and dry place. Once you have cooked the lentils, you should eat them within a few days.
Mountain lentils need to cook a little longer than other types of lentils. Simply wash the desired amount of lentils under running water and simmer with two and a half to three times the amount of water for 30 to 40 minutes over medium heat. If you let them soak in water overnight after rinsing, you can shorten the cooking time by a few minutes. You can season the pulses according to your taste - almost anything goes!
Mountain lentils are naturally vegan and very popular in vegetarian and vegan cuisine, among other things, because of their nutrients. There are a variety of delicious recipes for salads, soups, stews and with mountain lentils as a vegan meat alternative, for example in a vegan Bolognese sauce.
Mountain lentils grow only on very poor soils and the plant consists of herbaceous, slightly hairy stems. Only the seeds are suitable for consumption.
The recipes and dishes with mountain lentils are diverse. Whether salad, curry, stew, roast, spread or with potatoes - the possibilities are almost endless. Many recipes are also vegetarian or even vegan and often super easy to prepare. Our tip: vegan spaghetti bolognese!
