When you think of fettuccine, you immediately think of delicious pasta from your favourite Italian restaurant. But watch out, we have something new for you: our organic konjac fettuccine! Don't let the name mislead you, our konjac pasta has nothing to do with French brandy. Instead, it's white noodles made from konjac flour that are soaked in water and taste relatively neutral. It may sound a bit basic at first, but appearances are deceptive! Our konjac noodles taste just as good in a pasta sauce as "the real deal", i.e. their relatives made from wheat, wholemeal or spelt flour. At the same time, however, they have some decisive advantages: they are fat- and sugar-free and have only 5 calories per 100 g and less than 0.1 g of carbohydrates. Well, have the "Miracle Noodles", as they are also known, made you curious? Buy konjac pasta now!

What exactly are konjac noodles made of?

Especially after being prepared, our pasta is confusingly similar to "real" noodles. The difference lies in the ingredients: Our konjac fettuccine consists largely of water and a little konjac flour. The konjac plant is also known as devil's tongue or tear tree and is an Asian lily plant. To make the flour, the roots are first dried and then ground. If you then add water, a gel-like mass, that can be processed into various foods, is produced. There are a lot of different possibilities for this: Konjac spaghetti, penne, lasagne, even konjac rice! Our konjac fettuccine are shaped into long, slightly wider noodles. They are also often called shirataki noodles, which comes from Japanese and means "white waterfall" - sounds pretty cool, doesn't it?

Using shirataki noodles

In Asia, they have been an integral part of Japanese cooking culture for centuries. No wonder konjac noodles taste so good in a veggie peanut stir fry, as pasta salad with crispy tofu, with green Thai curry or as an ingredient in a warming noodle soup. The idea of using the noodles as pasta with an Italian touch, on the other hand, is new. We think it's great! Simply prepare your favourite veggie bolognese, pesto and cream sauce or – if you don't feel like putting in any effort but still having a delicious meal – just warm up our incredible tomato sauce with basil, prepare the pasta and stir it into the sauce!

Questions & answers: Organic konjac fettuccine in water 500 g
Also known as devil's tongue or tear tree, the plant originates from the Asian region, where it has long been an integral part of cooking culture in Japan and China, for example.
Our konjac noodles have a lot of advantages: They are fat- and sugar-free, contain no gluten and have 5 calories per 100 g and less than 0.1 g carbohydrates. And they taste just as good as their wheat, spelt and other relatives when prepared! This makes all pasta lovers' hearts beat faster!
Yes, because our fettuccine consist only of water, konjac flour from the konjac root and some citric acid. So they are great for a lot of vegan recipes.
Pure, konjac noodles have a neutral, barely perceptible taste. Precisely because of this, they are true all-rounders in the kitchen and go well with many different dishes and sauces, whose flavor they can absorb wonderfully.
For the production, the konjac root is first dried and ground into konjac flour. This is then mixed with water to form a gel-like mass. This can then be formed into the elongated, wide noodles.
It is best to store the pasta in a dark, dry and cool place. In the original unopened package, they will keep for at least 24 months. Once you have opened the package, you should store the fettuccine in the refrigerator and eat it within 4 days.
You can lose weight mainly through a daily calorie deficit. Our konjac noodles are low in calories with 5 calories per 100 g and are therefore ideal for a lot of low-calorie dishes. Of course, they are not a must: You can also, for example, simply reach for a little more vegetables and fruit, exercise more or make your everyday life a little more active to achieve a calorie deficit necessary for weight loss!
On 100 g the noodles from konjac flour have 5 calories and are therefore low in calories.
Konjac noodles, also known as Shirataki noodles, contain less than 0.1 g of carbohydrates, 0 g of fat and 0 g of sugar per 100 g.
Don't worry if you smell the konjac noodles a little sour and fishy when you open the package - of course, we didn't put any fresh fish in here. The smell comes from the konjac flour and is typical for Shirataki. Once you have rinsed the noodles with water and finished preparing them, they no longer taste or smell of fish!
Yes, the ingredients of our konjac fettuccine are organic.
In addition to ready-to-eat organic konjac fettuccine, we also offer spaghetti-shaped organic konjac noodles in water and dried konjac noodles.
Yes, they are. The name konjac noodle comes from the konjac plant, from whose dried and ground root they are made. Shirataki means "white waterfall" in Japanese and describes the appearance of the elongated, white noodles. However, both names refer to one and the same product.
In principle, konjac noodles are well tolerated and do not cause any known allergic reactions. Nevertheless, you should avoid excessive consumption. If you do experience side effects, consult your doctor.
The preparation of our ready-to-eat konjac fettuccine is easy peasy: First, drain the water from the package, rinse the pasta under cold water and add it to your favorite sauce. Then let it simmer briefly - and you can enjoy it! Alternatively, you can heat the fettuccine separately in a pan or in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
