Everything at a glance Organic Jasmine rice 5 kg

We find Jasmine rice simply amazing. Once experienced, the unmistakable, flowery fragrance of freshly cooked Jasmine rice will be forever with you. No wonder that this rice takes its name from the tiny Asian flower with the incredibly intense perfume!

Rice from Thailand

Whether rice milk with apple sauce, sushi, or risotto – we can never have enough of rice. As we want you to be able to enjoy delicious rice as often as you want, we offer you our high-quality Jasmine rice from Thailand in a convenient 5-kilo bag. A long-grain variety, Jasmine rice is slightly stickier than Basmati rice, it is way less sticky than sushi or risotto rice, and is therefore great to eat with chopsticks – or to learn!

Cook your Jasmine rice to perfection

Jasmine rice is perfect on the side of curries, in cold rice salads, and is the star of many typical Asian recipes such as Nasi Goreng: and it deserves its popularity! Jasmine rice complements and absorbs well other flavours, satiates you and keeps you full, and is easy to prepare. A rule of thumb is that 60 g of uncooked rice should be calculated for a side dish, and twice as much as a main course. Before cooking, wash the rice and then add 1.5 times the amount of water with a pinch of salt to a saucepan. Bring the whole thing to a boil and let it steep for 10 to 12 minutes – and voilà: the fragrant rice is ready. If you like it exotic, you can season the Jasmine rice in the saucepan with a few cardamom cloves. However, our organic Jasmine rice tastes wonderfully aromatic even without extra spices. Fortunately, at KoRo you can get a 5-kilo bag of it!

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Questions about questions Organic Jasmine rice 5 kg

How many calories and carbohydrates does Jasmine rice have?

100 g of uncooked Jasmine rice have 346 kcal and 78 g of carbs. The complete nutritional values of our Jasmine rice are printed on its packaging and stated on the product description.

Can I use Jasmine rice for sushi too?

If you only have Jasmine rice in your pantry, you can of course use it to make sushi, even though Jasmine rice is not ideal. Sushi rice is stickier, and is therefore perfect to create restaurant-level sushi and poké bowls. KoRo offers you top-quality sushi rice too.

What is the difference between Basmati e Jasmine rice?

Jasmine and Basmati rice are both perfect sides for curries and veggies stir-fries, and they are both long-grained - which means that their length is about 6 to 8 mm. They slightly differ in aroma, as the smell of freshly cooked Basmati rice is more earthy and quite different from the flowery scent of Jasmine rice. Moreover, properly cooked, Basmati rice turns out fluffier than the stickier Jasmine. On KoRo you can find brown and white Basmati rice! Give it a try and find your favourite.
