Everything at a glance Organic jackfruit crisps 500 g

Our organic jackfruit chips are deep fried with coconut oil and prepared into crispy chips. Although no additional sugar is used in processing, they taste naturally sweet, as is typical of jackfruit. They can be classified as a mix of mango, banana and pineapple in terms of taste. Jackfruit is found in Southeast Asia and Brazil. There they grow on trees up to 20 meters high, before they are cut from the trunk with a knife in spring, autumn or winter. In the countries of origin, jackfruit is considered a staple food. Among vegetarians and vegans, the soft inside of the jackfruit is known as a meat substitute. The untreated variety is usually available vacuum-packed. If you season the unripe and fibrous flesh and fry it, it takes on a (frighteningly) similar consistency to chicken. We also have soft jackfruit for sale. Just take a look here and get inspired. Jackfruit chips are perfect for a night out with friends, for snacking in between meals, or even as a crunchy highlight in your cer

Varieties and origins

The home of jackfruit is in the south of India, but nowadays it is cultivated in all tropical areas of the world. The fruit belongs to the mulberry family and is considered a staple food in the countries of origin. Increasingly, raw jackfruit is also consumed in Western countries, as the fibrous consistency is very popular as a vegan meat substitute. India is the main producer, with around 1,436,000 tons per year.

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Questions about questions Organic jackfruit crisps 500 g

FAQ-Bereich durchsuchen:

Is jackfruit supposed to smell bad?

No. Jackfruit may be easily confused with durian, because they look alike. But actually these are two different types of fruit. The difference is that durian - unlike the jackfruit - has an extremely pungent smell when cut open.

Do the chips leave a sticky film on my fingers?

No, the chips do not stick. It is only the fresh jackfruit that is sticky.

How to store the chips?

Keep our organic jackfruit chips at room temperature airtight sealed, so that they don't get gluey.

How does jackfruit taste?

An unripe jackfruit is neutral in taste and can not be eaten untreated. Ripe jackfruits taste like a mix of banana, mango and ananas.

Super sweet Krunchy

Jackfruit, you love them or hate them, who was in Asia, who knows that. But the chips taste full good, better than the dried jackfruit. They are dry and crispy like the puffed ones. Jackfruit tastes like something between banana and apple, rather sweet. But the unripe jackfruit is used for salty dishes, as a meat substitute.
