Flaxseeds: crushed or not, that is the question!

You've probably already discovered that our online shop is full of other fibre-rich products: psyllium husks, organic golden flax, partly de-oiled flaxseed flour, golden flaxseed flour, our organic seed mix and of course our brown flaxseed. But why have we crushed these seeds? When crushed, some flax oil escapes from the small seeds and your body can use the seeds a little better. Of course, you can also simply crush whole flax seeds yourself, but we wanted to make it as convenient as possible for you. Flax seeds also swell a little better when crushed. It is best to soak them for a while before consuming them and mixing them into yogurt, quark, porridge or smoothies and enjoying their amazing swelling capacities.

Flax seeds for baking and as an egg substitute

Yes, you read that right! Our flax seeds are not only suitable for refining porridge, cakes, bread, baguettes and rolls, but can also serve as a vegan egg substitute. Similar to the chia egg made from chia seeds, simply combine 1 tablespoon of crushed flax seeds with 3 tablespoons of water and let swell for 5 minutes. Your egg substitute is ready!

Buy crushed flaxseeds

Our crushed flaxseeds enrich pretty much every dish and are a great addition to your muesli. They provide you with fibre, protein and a fine nutty taste. They also swell well when soaked in liquid and can even act as an egg substitute. Convince yourself of the superpowers of our flax seeds and buy the crushed seeds in the 2 kg value pack!

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Questions about questions Organic flax seeds, crushed 2 kg

FAQ-Bereich durchsuchen:

Why crush the flaxseeds?

Flaxseeds can be consumed whole or ground, but, if eaten whole, they cannot be properly digested by the body. If you do not have a mortar at home, you can rely on our ground flaxseeds for a delicious, nutty addition to your every recipe!

Are flaxseeds good to lose weight?

Apart from baking, flaxseeds can be mixed in your bread dough if you want to add protein and fibre to it, or can be sprinkled on top of your porridge of yoghurt for an extra filling breakfast!

Are flaxseeds rich in omega-3 fatty acids?

Are flaxseeds good against constipation?
