Everything at a glance Organic date sugar 1 kg

Are you trying to avoid refined sugar as much as possible, and looking for a natural, less refined alternative? Our organic date sugar could be exactly what you were hoping to find! Characterised by the unique honey and caramel-like note typical of dates, this sugar is perfect for sweetening your baked goods, smoothies, and any kind of dessert. And, as we sell our delicious date sugar in a convenient one-kilo bag, nothing stands any more in the way of a fantastic baking marathon!

A sugar alternative that comes from palms

We only choose the best-quality Deglet Nour dates for our date sugar. Characterised by their being as sweet as honey and as intense in taste as caramel, these beautiful-looking dates grow on Tropical date palms. Once harvested and dried, our golden-brown fruits are ground into a fine powder: the result is a sweetener a bit weaker than traditional sugar, but very sweet nonetheless – for a similar outcome, just use a bit more date sugar. Thanks to its unique fruity note, this unrefined sugar will add an exotic and delicate touch to your creations.

More than a sweetener

But there is much more to it: contrary to other sweeteners and sugar alternatives, date sugar is a complete food. Since whole dates are used for it, this product maintains the same nutritional values of the fruit it comes from. This means that date sugar is not only sugar, but contains 11 grams of fibre per 100, for example! Now the downside, as it is not all a bed of roses when it comes to the properties of this magical sugar: date sugar is not water-soluble, and therefore not the best thing to sweeten your tea or coffee with. But we can promise you that you won't ever want to bake without it!

What makes our date sugar so special

Made with certified organic Deglet Nour dates, our natural sugar-alternative is just as good and versatile as other natural sweeteners like xylitol and erythritol. After being dried and ground, the dates are not processed further, and nothing is added to them; packed and labelled, our delicious date sugar is now ready to land on your kitchen counter

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Questions about questions Organic date sugar 1 kg

For what can I use date sugar?

Generally, you can use the date sugar anywhere you would normally use conventional sugar. Due to its low water solubility, however, date sugar is not ideal for teas and coffees, but is all the better for baking, and sweetening your desserts.

From where do these dates come from?

The dates we use for our sugar are Deglet Nour dates from Tunisia, where they grow on the real date palm under controlled organic conditions.

How many calories does this date sugar have?

Our date sugar has 353 kcal per 100 g, which is slightly fewer calories than traditional white refined sugar. Since whole fruits are used to make our date sugar, it is also a lot richer in nutrients.

How do I store this sugar?

You should store your date sugar in a cool and dry place, and, in order to avoid any contamination or formation of mould, we also recommend keeping it in an air-tight container - our Ball Maison Jars, for example, can be a great idea! Under these optimal conditions, this date sugar can keep for up to 18 months.

Must have für Dattelliebhaber

Es sind gemahlene Datteln, eigentlich kein Zucker. Ich esse ihn gern im Porridge, Jogurt, zu Waffeln und und und. Tolle gesunde Zuckeralternative
