Varieties & Origin

The taste of white mulberries is very delicate, and their flesh is sweet and juicy. They are mostly to be found in their dried version, as they don't stay fresh long and spoil quickly.

Originally native to Asia and North America, mulberry trees need warmth to thrive. Since mulberries grow at different speeds, they are not harvested and dried or processed, and sold at the same time. China has the largest cultivation of mulberry trees, with a total of 626,000 hectares. Apart from this, there is hardly any data on the production volumes of mulberries, and our map describes the estimated cultivation of mulberry trees in hectares.

Not as sweet as the white mulberries,
Not as sweet as the white mulberries, but still mega good!
Delicious
In most stores there are rather white dried mulberries. Is times what new. Since I had already eaten fresh black mulberries, I had to try the times in dried. So they definitely taste different than the white dried, much more intense and almost somehow similar to licorice.
Top.
Very good quality.
