In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.

Questions about questions Marzipan with no added sugar 1 kg

FAQ-Bereich durchsuchen:

Why is this marzipan so special?

Compared to most marzipan products, the raw marzipan paste from KoRo does not contain refined sugar; we have decided to avoid using refined sugar because almonds are naturally gently sweet. Our low-sugar marzipan variant (2.5 g per 100 g) relies on low-calorie maltitol syrup for that little extra sweetness that marzipan needs. Enjoy our low-sugar alternative and enjoy your favourite marzipan recipes without guilt!

Where does marzipan come from?

Marzipan has its origins in the Orient; in the Middle Ages, it was imported to Europe from its distant region of origin - presumably today's Iran. The long transport routes, however, are a thing of the past: KoRo's marzipan paste is made in Denmark and comes to Germany in an airtight convenience pack.

How many calories and carbohydrates does this marzipan have?

100 g of our marzipan have 410 kcal and 41 g of carbohydrates. With 2.5 g of sugar per 100 g, the sugar content of our raw marzipan is significantly lower than in comparable marzipan products. You can find the exact nutritional values to the right of the product description and printed on the packaging.

Is this low-sugar marzipan good to lose weight?

Marzipan does not go well with dieting, right? Wrong! Our low-sugar marzipan is certainly not a calorie and sugar-free, low-carb snack, but can be enjoyed in moderation even by those among you who are trying to lose weight and follow a super healthy diet!

Is marzipan vegan?

Yes, marzipan is normally vegan, as it is usually made of almond meal and sugar. In our sugar-reduced variant, we have replaced refined sugar with the low-calorie sweetener maltitol, which is vegan; therefore our marzipan with no added sugar is perfect for vegans and non-vegans alike.

How should I store this low-sugar marzipan?

Our raw marzipan should be stored in a dry and cool place and, once opened, stored in the refrigerator. Please note that refrigerated marzipan gets harder and must therefore be warmed up before use. To extend its shelf life, you can also freeze it!

How long is marzipan's shelf-life?

Our raw marzipan keeps for about nine months, but its shelf-life depends on how well you take care of it. Please store it in a cool and dry place, so that you can enjoy it whenever you need to!

Does marzipan have any effects on the digestive system?

Almonds contain sugar and therefore already have a sweet and nutty taste, so we chose to not add any refined sugar to our raw marzipan. To add that touch of sweetness that marzipan does need, we have used low-calorie maltitol syrup. If consumed in excess, the sweetener can have a laxative effect.

Is this marzipan gluten-free?

Yes. Marzipan paste usually consists of almonds and sugar and is therefore gluten-free. For our low-sugar marzipan variant, we have replaced refined sugar with the low-calorie sweetener maltitol, which is also gluten-free. You can find the ingredients list on our website next to the product description or printed on the product packaging.

Can I eat marzipan when pregnant or breastfeeding?

Yes! Nutrition experts consider the consumption of small amounts of marzipan during pregnancy and while breastfeeding perfectly unproblematic, and sweeteners such as the maltitol contained in our low-sugar marzipan, are harmless in household quantities. Moreover, our marzipan is made without rose water, which often contains alcohol.

How can I use this low-sugar marzipan?

Our marzipan without added sugar can be used in many ways and just like real marzipan for baking, shaping cakes bases and coverings, or for modelling marzipan figures. In order to better mould the marzipan, you can heat the marzipan in the microwave for about 30 seconds at 500 watts. In addition to warmth, cold is also great to soften the marzipan: wrap it in a damp tea towel and place in the refrigerator for about two hours. If the mixture has become too soft, add some powdered sugar; this binds the moisture and makes the marzipan harder. Once your marzipan has reached the right consistency, creativity steps in: our marzipan paste is ideal as a low-sugar sweetener for desserts, and adds a delicious nutty note to your pies, cakes and muffins. Marzipan can also be processed into homemade wonderful pralines, biscuits or cookies!

I'm coming back for more!

Through Anja Giesberg of Zuckerfrei naschen I came across this marzipan. Since I eat sugar-free I have totally missed marzipan and I am so excited. It doesn't taste any different and the price-performance ratio is simply unbeatable.
The consistency is wonderful and it can be processed very well.

I've been craving almond croissants for ages and thanks to this product I was able to enjoy them again after years.

Not a good alternative

It's nice that there are so many customers who are satisfied. But compared to the normal marzipan raw mass, you do not really save calories and pay for it then also ne proud sum. Then rather look in the baked goods area for raw mass, than a mass that was processed with a substitute.

Hello Stefan, thank you for your feedback. Too bad that this product could not convince you. The special thing about our marzipan without added sugar is the low sugar content with 2.5 g per 100 g, which is significantly lower than comparable marzipan products. Kind regards, Your KoRo-Team

Good alternative to marzipan!

Good sugar-free alternative-naturally not to compare with normal marzipan, but still delicious.
Tastes more like almonds and is not so sweet. The consistency is the same in my opinion, possibly a bit softer, but you can form it well zb to a ball.
The only thing that is a bit annoying, is the packaging, it is a bit impractical for me๐Ÿ˜Š
