One of the best things you could do for your cake or biscuits is to add marzipan to their ingredients. Normally this means also adding an extra portion of calories, along with the taste, but we at KoRo love marzipan so much that we thought we needed a low-sugar version of it. No sooner said than done: now you can find in our online shop marzipan with no added sugar. Wow! To shape, bake and enjoy raw Whether Christmas biscuits, tarts, German stollen, or buns, using marzipan always results in something unforgettable which should be enjoyed all year round. You can garnish your wonderfully moist Easter carrot cake with some cute carrot-shaped marzipan decorations, for example – let the artist in you run free and have fun shaping our raw marzipan into all the shapes you can come up with! Moreover, our low-sugar marzipan is perfect for baking, of course, but also raw in your cold dessers or simply paired with yoghurt and jam. What makes our marzipan so special, is that we completely avoid

Questions & answers: Marzipan with no added sugar 1kg

Marzipan and diet don't go together? We would not agree with that. Due to the low-calorie sugar substitute maltitol, our marzipan does not immediately become a calorie-free low-carb snack, but even as a nutrition-conscious person you can still enjoy our low-sugar marzipan variant.
A marzipan paste usually consists of almonds and sugar and is usually gluten-free. In our low-sugar marzipan variant, we replace refined sugar with the sweetener maltitol, which is also naturally gluten-free. However, cross-contamination with gluten can occur during our filling process - which is why we do not directly title our marzipan as gluten-free. The product is therefore not suitable for people with celiac disease.
Yes, marzipan is usually vegan. Marzipan paste usually consists of ground almonds and sugar. In our sugar-reduced marzipan variant, we replaced refined sugar with the sweetener maltitol. The sugar substitute is also vegan and therefore our marzipan without added sugar is perfectly suitable for a vegan diet.
Almonds naturally contain sugar and therefore already have a sweet, nutty taste. In our marzipan, we do not add refined sugar and give the marzipan additional sweetness through low-calorie maltitol syrup. In case of excessive consumption, the sweetener can have a laxative effect.
100 g of our marzipan have 410 kcal and 41 g of carbohydrates. The sugar content of 2.5 g per 100 g of marzipan is significantly lower than that of comparable marzipan products. The exact nutritional values can be found on the right side of the product description and on the packaging.
Our marzipan has a best-before date of nine months. How long the marzipan will keep depends decisively on the correct storage: Marzipan should be stored in a dry and cool place.
Marzipan has its origins in the Orient. From the distant countries of origin, probably mainly from today's Iran, marzipan was imported to Europe in the Middle Ages. However, the long transport routes are a thing of the past: KoRo's marzipan is produced in Denmark and comes to Germany already shrink-wrapped in an airtight value pack.
Compared to most marzipan products, KoRo's marzipan does not contain refined sugar. Almonds naturally contain small amounts of sugar. Additional sweetness is added to our low-sugar marzipan variety (2.5 g per 100 g) by low-calorie maltitol syrup. The sugar substitute makes our marzipan a low-sugar alternative for your favorite marzipan creations.
Marzipan without added sugar is versatile and just like real marzipan, it can be used for baking, for rolling out and decorating cakes, or for modeling marzipan figures. To make the marzipan mass easier to process, you can heat the marzipan for about 30 seconds at 500 watts in the microwave. In addition to heat, cold is also suitable for softening marzipan. Wrap the marzipan in a damp tea towel and place in the refrigerator for about two hours. If the mass has become too soft, add a little powdered sugar, which binds the moisture and makes the marzipan harder. Once your marzipan has reached the right consistency, creativity is called for: our marzipan is ideal as a low-sugar sweetener for desserts or adds a nutty note to cakes, pies and muffins. Marzipan is also wonderful for making homemade chocolates, cookies or cookies. Thanks to our sugar-reduced marzipan variant, these creations make the perfect gift for the nutrition-conscious epicureans in your circle of friends and family. Of course, you can also simply snack on marzipan without added sugar.
Marzipan should be stored in a dry and cool place. After opening the package, marzipan can be stored in the refrigerator. In this case, it becomes harder and must be kneaded warm before use. To extend the shelf life, you can also freeze marzipan.
Yes, nutrition experts consider small amounts of marzipan to be unproblematic during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Sweeteners such as maltitol, which is contained in our marzipan, are also safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding in normal household quantities. Our marzipan is also produced without rose water, which often contains alcohol.

Am overjoyed!

I love marzipan. Unfortunately, I have to eat sugar-free for 17 years for health reasons, so I have - when the craving became too great - only occasionally treated myself to a fingernail-sized dose, but that with a guilty conscience.
Fortunately, these times are now over, because this sugar-free marzipan is simply great! Soft and smooth it can be processed well, there is nothing crumbles and in the mouth it is like butter, no sandy feeling but really melty. But the most fantastic thing is the taste: really natural after almonds, light subtle sweetness and no artificial aftertaste at all. Since some expensive brand manufacturers with their oversweetened products should like to cut a slice from!

There is nothing to complain about in terms of price-performance. Maltitol just not ideal.

I can't understand the poorer ratings and statements here at all! [...] It wouldn't taste like marzipan and would therefore be thrown away - absolutely incomprehensible. It tastes, who would have thought it, like almonds! A few drops of bitter almond flavoring, which everyone knows from baking, are enough to get the "typical marzipan". Knead well and, depending on your taste, add more drops until it meets your expectations. I only deduct one star because the maltitol is not tolerated, maybe you can find something better tolerated. At 50g of marzipan I already have considerable gastrointestinal problems, which is a shame!

Almost like real marzipan

Simply creamy and firm at the same time. Can be processed great. Most importantly, however, the marzipan tastes really delicious.
