Description

Everything at a glance

Jackfruit originated in the South of India and is part of the mulberry family. Today they are mostly grown in Southeast Asia. Our jackfruit is harvest in Thailand and the fruit grows as big as long as one meter. Because of its heaviness the Jackfruit grows directly at the trunk of the tree.
In their cultivated countries the fruity Jackfruit is mostly consumed as a sweet dish or is roasted until they are crunchy crisps. The taste of the ripe fruit reminds of banana and pineapple. But to become the meat substances, they are harvest unripe and are then getting lodged in brine. If you marinate the unripe, neutral tasting fruit with some spices you can easily imitate lots of meat dishes. You should keep in mind though, that the hard frays of the Jackfruit are only getting softer after cooking them.
Our Jackfruit if free from Lactose, Soy and Gluten. With under 1 g of fat Jackfruit is perfect for a low fat diet. Furthermore Jackfruit is also rich in lots of nutrients and fibres and because of our vacuum packaging it is durable up to 18 month, if not opened.
Jackfruit is depending on the seasoning the perfect alternative to meat burgers, sandwiches, tacos or others.

The KoRo price chart

  • Price Graph Icon

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.
