Everything at a glance German canola honey 1 kg

Buzz, buzz, buzz, bees are buzzing! What can't be missing from a hearty breakfast? Honey, of course! It has been absent from our spreads and sugar alternatives so far, but the time has now come. We've sent our little hard-working friends out and they cam back with the finest product they could find: 100 % German canola honey! With its mild aroma, light colour and creamy, spreadable texture, we were immediately convinced by the "white gold". You want to try this tasty honey version too? The wait is over: order our German canola honey now in a 1 kg value jar and sweeten your days!

Canola honey, blossom honey and more – What are the differences?

Every time you stand in front of the supermarket shelf and ask yourself: Which honey should I take with me this time? Isn't honey just honey? No, it's not quite that simple! The varieties differ in origin and extraction methods as well as in taste and colour. Our canola honey is extracted from the flower nectar of the rapeseed plant and is therefore, just like acacia honey and lavender honey, a type of flower honey. It is characterised by a light colour and a pleasantly mild-sweet taste - excellent for sweetening cakes, tea and other treats! There is also honeydew honey, which, in contrast to flower honey, is dark and spicy-tart. This includes, for example, forest honey.

Canola: Not just oil!

Every year in spring, the golden-yellow blossoms of the rapeseed plants compete with each other and offer our bees a true land of milk and honey. Although many people know the plant for its oil production, it can do more! The honey from the plant's beautiful blossom is also delicious. Since rapeseed is cultivated on a large scale in this country, we can offer you pure rapeseed honey from Germany - this guarantees shorter and more sustainable supply chains! And another positive: while the bees collect nectar for the tasty honey, they pollinate the rapeseed plants at the same time, which means that the rapeseed harvest is significantly larger. A true win-win situation for all honey lovers and farmers!

Recipes with canola honey

A hearty breakfast can really be something nice! Along with our famous date and hazelnut spread and our almond butter with cinnamon and vanilla, our new canola honey can't be missing! Spread it on fresh-baked rolls or a slice of bread and enjoy! You can also use it to add pleasant sweetness to your tea, porridge or muesli. And thanks to this mild sweetness, canola honey is also suitable for a lot of recipes! For example, you can use honey for baking or to refine desserts - because it complements the taste of your banana bread or bee-sting dessert perfectly. But who says canola honey is only good with sweet dishes? You think tofu tastes boring? We can convince you otherwise with a honey marinade! Even on pumpkin rolls, with oven-baked squash with feta or as a dressing on your next salad, our canola honey guarantees the perfect sweet and salty balance!

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Questions about questions German canola honey 1 kg

Search in our FAQ section::

Where does KoRo rapeseed honey come from?

Our rapeseed honey comes 100% from Germany.

How is rapeseed honey produced?

For the honey, the bees collect the nectar of the rapeseed plants and mix it with their own enzymes. They then store the resulting mass in their combs. For the production, the beekeeper has to take out these combs and spin them down. What comes out is the finished honey, which we are only too happy to put on our sandwiches!

How many calories does canola honey have?

Our rapeseed honey has 306 kcal per 100 g.

How much sugar is in KoRo's rapeseed honey?

The rapeseed honey contains 75 g of sugar per 100 g.

Is honey vegan?

No, honey is not vegan. Since bees do most of the work, it is an animal product.

Why is rapeseed honey so light in colour?

Bees make honey from the nectar of different flowers. Since rapeseed plants have light-coloured flowers, rapeseed honey is almost white. In addition, this type of honey is harvested in spring, which further contributes to the light colour. The colour also reveals something about the honey: the lighter, the milder it tastes.

What is the best way to store honey?

You should store the unopened honey pot in a cool and dry place. The honey will then keep for at least 24 months.

What does rapeseed honey taste like?

This type of honey is especially convincing because of its mild-sweet taste. Without a strong taste of its own, it is therefore ideal for spreading on bread as well as for cooking and baking.

Schöner heller Rapshonig, ordentlich im Geschmack. Den hätte ich mir auch gerne in Bio gewünscht, aber auch so völlig okay.
