Delicious Autumn Pumpkin Soup

Especially in the fall, a warming soup is a great meal. Since you can find pumpkins all over the supermarket right now, it's a good idea to try this recipe:



  • A small Hokkaido pumpkin (about 400g)
  • Two carrots
  • (optional: 1-2 large (sweet) potatoes)
  • A big piece of ginger
  • A clove of garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp Pumpkin Spice
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Toppings: pumpkin seeds, cashews, mulberries (highly recommended!), hemp seeds, more pumpkin, ...


First heat up a medium saucepan with water, salt and vegetable broth. Once the water boils, add the potatoes and carrots and let them simmer until after about five minutes you add all the other ingredients and simmer for another 15-20min. Then mix everything together with a blender, or e.g. in the Thermomix until it's a fine puree. The last step is to refine your soup with delicious toppings - and enjoy.
