Everything at a glance Fig and almond bread 500 g

Not a cloud in the sky. The scorching sun hits the terracotta-tiled terrace. You find shelter in the shade of a magnificent fig tree, in a corner of the garden. As soon as you feel a tiny bit of hunger, your eyes automatically turn to the fruits above your head. How amazing that the Spanish landlady puts a homemade fig bread, Pan de Higo, on the table for you! The combination of the unique sweetness of fresh figs and the crunch and aroma of the almonds soothes your stomach and soul alike. Is this what even looks (and tastes) like?

Handmade in Spain

We admit that having our fig bread delivered to your home by the hand of a delivery service is kind of unromantic. However, this wonderful bread is actually handcrafted and packaged in Spain according to a traditional recipe. High-quality almonds are inserted by hand between the dried fig bread, and kneaded in one piece. The fine combination is rounded off with a pinch of aniseed. In addition to their aromatic taste, the ripe figs naturally contain enough sweetness, therefore our manufacturer does not add any kind of sugar to refine their creation.

Perfect with cheese or coffee

In Spain, this traditional fig bread with nuts, also known as Pan de higo, is served in thin slices topped with the sheep's cheese called Manchego, enjoyed as a dessert after a warm meal, or simply as a snack. If the combination with cheese sounds a little too complicated, our fig bread is perfect even as a gluten-free and vegan alternative to cake in the afternoon.

  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
