Varieties and origins

Sultanas
Sultanas are made from the light-coloured, seedless grape variety Sultana. In order to be dried, Sultanas are "dipped"
Jumbo grapes
Jumbo grapes are, as the names suggests, particularly large grapes. The dried Jumbo that you find at KoRo belong to the Jumbo Flames kind.
Currants
Originally from Greece, currants come, nowadays, from all over the world. They are very small, black-purple in colour and have a strong taste.
Zibebe
Known in southern Germany and Austria as dried grapes, Zibebe have their own unique drying process
Exact figures on the worldwide production of the individual varieties of grapes are difficult to find, and what you see on the map is an approximation. Of course, not all of these grapes are dried, but it gives you a good overview of where grapes are cultivated. Annual production of raisins and sultanas is currently around 800,000 tons. Did you know that when the berries are dried, the water content of the berries drops to approximately 18% and the fructose content increases to about 33%?

What is the KoRo price chart?
In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles. -
Why is the price fluctuating?
Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers. -
Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?
Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Good quality
The jumbo grapes are nice and soft and not hard, they just have a great taste, they taste completely different than the purchased from the health food store, where you can taste the sunflower oil out, just add to cereal or cake. Simply delicious.

We'll use the grapes for our own
We will use the grapes for our own trail mix and homemade granola and energy bars

Good quality and reasonable price
The best "raisins" ever. The whole family is thrilled.

Super lecker
Super tasty for in between mesh or for the cereal

Nice and fruity
They taste better to me than sultanas or the typical raisins, more like fruit juice, and they contain less oil. For the fact that no sugar is zugestetzt, they are very sweet; I snack but rarely, so am hardly accustomed to sugar. I make myself a curd every night with bananas, nuts, etc, so this fits the bill.

Unbelievably delicious
So good! Price-performance ratio totally appropriate. Tastes great! Will never order again somewhere else!

Acidic
I didn't know raisins before and thought they were a kind of big raisin. However, they taste a little different and are rather tart. My toddler they do not taste so good, I like them. Will probably use them in cereal or energy balls at our house.
