Varieties and origins

Pitaya has its origins in the tropical climates of Central America, where it finds ideal conditions, as it needs temperatures around 35 to 40°C to thrive. Thanks to its tropical climate, many Asian countries are therefore also suitable for growing dragon fruit, which is nowadays it is also grown in China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Thailand. But this curious looking fruit is also successfully cultivated in Israel. The exact figures of the global production are not known, so the numbers you can see on this map are only an estimate.

What is the KoRo price chart?

In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
  • Price Change Icon

    Why is the price fluctuating?

Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
  • Communication Icon

Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?

Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Wonderfully sweet and tart taste. For me, a definite sweetness. Achtung macht süchtig....I always save the last slices for me...until the next ordered full bag is in the mail. Then you can slam shut again without hesitation. And by the way, it's good for the liver.

Unfortunately, they couldn't convince me at all. They taste very strange. Couldn't get used to the taste either.
1 star for the optics. Looks like dragon skin. Now I understand why the fruit is called like this :D
But that is of course only my opinion. And that of my girlfriend. There must be somebody who likes them.

Insanely delicious and super fun to eat!

Insanely delicious and super fun to eat! The consistency is reminiscent of wine gum, but of course much healthier and also leaves a great scent in the room. Hammer!

Bag is resealable. The dragon fruit is simply delicious. Fruity with lots of flavor. Since I would have bought the dried fruit otherwise open on a market, I find here the info about nutritional values and MHD (min. 1 year) very recommendable.
