Everything at a glance Dried blueberries with apple juice concentrate
Blueberries, also known as bilberries, originate from the Heather plant family. Blueberries are commonly grown in the forests of Europe and Asia. These berries are the original superfood. Blueberries are extremely popular not only because of their taste, but also due to their nutritional value. They are filled with Vitamine C and E as well as containing lots of fibre.
Dried Blueberries at KoRo are slightly sweetened with apple juice concentrate in order to reduce the bitterness without using sugar.

The KoRo price chart Dried blueberries with apple juice concentrate
What is the KoRo price chart? In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
Why is the price fluctuating? Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Dried blueberries with apple juice concentrate - a look behind the scenes
Apple growing regions
Apples are grown in all temperate climates. In Germany, the Alte Land near Hamburg, the region of Lake Constance and Saxony-Anhalt are among the traditional growing areas. The first German apple orchard was created in 1896. Today, apples are the most important type of fruit in Germany, where over a million tons of apples are harvested here every year.
Harvesting is still done by hand
Depending on the apple variety, the harvest time goes from July to October. To avoid bruising, apples are still mostly picked by hand. Here, too, the low trunk shapes are advantageous: thanks to the small trees, most branches can be reached without a ladder. The “treetop” often begins at a height of 40 to 60 cm.
Many manufacturers add sugar, preservatives or additives to the finished applesauce, but for high-quality productions, such as that of our organic apple sauce, the freshly harvested apples alone are responsible for the taste. In our bottling plant, the pure applesauce is filled into glasses: an additional brief heating removes the last traces of oxygen, making our product durable. With a beautiful KoRo label, our organic applesauce is now ready to sweeten your porridge, waffles, and hash browns.

Super consistency, they are deliciously sweet and are perfect for muesli :)
Delicious but a little too sweetened
I am a big fan of blueberries and use these dried blueberries often and very much in my morning porridge. I am satisfied, but find that they have been sweetened a little too much. Accordingly, they are not typically tart, as you know it from fresh or frozen/freeze-dried blueberries. But they taste good anyway!

For breakfast with muesli and yoghurt
It's crazy how good these fruits taste. I buy them every time!
