Everything at a glance

Baru nuts actually belong to the legume family and grow on the Baru tree in Brazil's Cerrado savannah. The nut can also be found in parts of Bolivia. The nuts are harvested between August and November. They wait until the nuts fall to the ground so that they can be collected afterwards. Their taste is reminiscent of a mixture of peanuts, almonds and cashew nuts.
The baru nut contains important amino acids and around 24% of a single nut is pure protein. This makes the nut an excellent source of protein for vegans and vegetarians or anyone who wants tasty nuts with a protein kick. You can and should enjoy the power nut with shell, because it contains the collected power of antioxidants. These have the reputation of neutralizing free radicals, which supports the immune system. A true superfood.

Our roasted Baru nuts are perfect in your muesli, bread or simply as a snack for in between.
