Buy now: Balsamic and onion chutney 4 x 730 g
KoRo presents: the big ABC of chutney! From A for apple to Z for zucchini, the spicy spread is your delicious companion in the kitchen in all varieties. And because we like to be as diverse as possible, you get something delicious from both sides of the alphabet with our balsamic onion chutney - an incredible spread you have to try!
We caramelise fresh onions and refine them with chilli, oregano and salt, before deglazing with balsamic vinegar and red wine to make the balsamic and onion chutney. Finally, we boil it down and round it off with agave syrup instead of refined sugar. In the end, the jar contains a sweet and sour sauce that captivates with its fine flavour of caramelised onions. Spicy, but not too hot and of course vegan!
What is chutney?
A chutney is a spicy, sweet and sour or hot mixture of sauce, jam and spread, which has its origins in India. Fruit and/or vegetables are boiled down together with spices, similarly to jam, and traditionally served with rice or curry. Typical varieties include tomato chutney, pear chutney, zucchini chutney, pumpkin chutney, fig and mango chutney.

Chutney ... leader nein
Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with chutney for me either. Normally it should have the consistency of jam. It is also much too acetic and hardly edible in the form. I mix it now under pasta sauces or in dressings. On consistency and taste I would work again ... you can also see in the product pictures that it is partly too liquid.
unfortunately disappointing
I find the idea good. For me, unfortunately, it was much too sour and too thin. Not suitable as a spread. Also, there could be significantly more onions in it. Perhaps it can be produced with a new recipe more pleasant to eat.
Does not have much to do with chutney.
Unfortunately, totally watery and hardly any onions in it. More like diluted vinegar with a few strings. Very disappointing in taste.
