Everything at a glance Apricots in dark chocolate
After harvesting, our apricots are stoned, dried and then covered with a delicious layer of dark chocolate.
The stone fruit, also called apricot, belongs to the rose family and grows on the tree. They originate from Armenia, where they have been cultivated since ancient times. Today, the largest growing areas are in Uzbekistan, Turkey, Iran, Italy and Algeria. Depending on where the apricots come from in Europe, they are harvested from the end of May to September.
Apricots taste naturally sweet and have a firm, fresh outer skin and a soft, tender inner kernel.
The dark chocolate coat is the perfect antithesis to the juicy apricot. The combination of both makes for a vegan composition that is a must for every movie night and makes your heart beat a little faster.

The KoRo price chart Apricots in dark chocolate
What is the KoRo price chart? In this chart, you can see the price per base unit (mainly 100g). In addition, you will learn the reason for a price reduction or increase by clicking on the information circles.
Why is the price fluctuating? Most annual product crops have an impact on the relationship between supply and demand in the market. In the event of a bad harvest, we must also pay a higher price for raw materials. Due to the strong impact of external factors such as wind, weather, climate and natural events on the harvest, we are refusing long-term cross-harvest contracts with our producers.
Why are we communicating price changes at KoRo?Open communication is very important to us and therefore part of our vision. For this reason, we would like to keep you informed of the evolution of our prices. Thus, the KoRo price chart provides a transparent overview of the evolution of the products prices over time.

Apricots in dark chocolate - a look behind the scenes
Soy belongs to the legume family and is considered the world's most important oilseed. Our soy meat substitute is made from the soy beans.
Soy-based meat replacement
Soy meat is nothing less than textured soy. This means that the beans are ground, heated, and then pressed into the desired shape, like that of our soy medallions. It is also a by-product of soybean oil production.
Soy can be harvested as soon as the leaves fall off and the bean can be heard when the pod is shaken. Usually this happens between the beginning of September and the beginning of October. The soy meat will be ready soon after!
Where is soy produced?
Soy consumption has increased a lot in recent years. The USA is at the top of the list of producers, followed by Brazil and Argentina. 75% of the cultivated soy is used as cattle food, although direct consumption would be much more sensible and resource-saving.
